Swimming world cup 2013: off to a fast start!

AKUATIK. The FINA Swimming World Cup 2013 is off to a great start! Both the inaugural meet in Eindhoven (NED, August 7-8) and second stop in Berlin (GER, August 10-11) were highlighted by blistering marks and a flurry of broken records - 10 World and six World Cup. Many World champions made the trip to the Dutch city and German capital, among them South African star Chad Le Clos and young sensation from Hungary, Katinka Hosszu, who set no less than six World Records in the span of five days.

This 2013 edition also celebrates the 25-year anniversary of FINA's swimming showdown in 25m pool, the World Cup being firstly launched in 1988. Moreover, Berlin has hosted the event a record 14 times.

Hosszu and Le Clos currently top the overall rankings, with a total 282 and 128 points respectively, but anything is possible with still six meets to go! The World Cup series will resume this October in Europe and the Middle East (cluster no.2) before heading and concluding in Asia (cluster no.3).

October 17-18 Dubai (UAE)
